Had An Accident?
- On the road
- at work
- out and about
- work related illness
Most people now know that if you have been injured you may be able to make a claim for compensation. What you may not know is that it only applies if you can prove someone else is to blame.
How can we help?
If you are unsure whether or not you have a claim then contact our friendly team of specialist solicitors for a free ½ hour assessment.
Time limits
Generally if you have been injured in an accident you can make a claim within 3 years. If you were under 18 years old at the time of the accident you have until you are 21 years old to make a claim.
If you are the innocent victim of an act of criminal violence you only have 2 years from the date it happened.
What can you claim for?
- Injuries both physical and psychological
- Repairs to your vehicle or the excess you have had to pay.
- Loss of earnings since the accident and for the future if you cannot return.
- Travelling expenses to and from medical appointments
- Purchase of medication and special equipment.
How much compensation can you expect?
Every claim is different and we will treat it that way. However, broadly speaking in relation to your injuries, if you recover within 2 years, the following are approximate levels that can be awarded:
| Loss of front tooth |
£1000 - £2000 |
| Whiplash |
£1500 - £3500 |
| Broken arm |
£3000 - £5000 |
| Broken leg |
£5000 - £7000 |
Cost
You may have a legal expenses policy with either your car or house insurance.
We can act for you under that policy and with most policies, win or lose, you will have to pay no more than perhaps an excess.
We may be able to offer what is commonly referred to as 'no win no fee'.
If you have suffered a personal injury you may be owed more than just an apology so contact CMA today and we can make your claim as easy as falling off a log...ladder...bike!!
