MEET THE CRIMINAL DEFENCE TEAM
Darin completed his training contract with CMA and qualified as a Solicitor in 1994.
He became a partner in 1999 and senior partner in 2009.
Darin is a Duty Solicitor. He practices each day in local magistrates Court and police stations all around Greater Manchester. The crime department specialises in all types of criminal defence work and Road traffic offences.
Samantha joined Cyril Morris Arkwright in 2010, after working for the Crown Prosecution Service for 11 years. She qualified as a solicitor in 2011 and became a Partner in the firm in May 2019. Her practice now encompasses both family law and the representation of clients in criminal matters, including as a duty solicitor. Samantha is also the supervisor in the Family Department being a member of the Family Law Panel.
Samantha’s practice covers all types of family and criminal law matters. She has advised upon applications for contact and residence for a parent living outside of the United Kingdom. Represented parents where the local authority have issued proceedings. She has particular knowledge of non accidental injury cases and has also represented a client in appeal proceedings in the Supreme Court.
Michelle joined the firm in 2003 and completed her training contract with the firm qualifying as a Solicitor in 2006. Michelle is a Duty Solicitor and regularly attends at the police station to represent people detained under arrest. In the Magistrates Court Michelle conducts all types of hearings from first appearances through to trials.
Michelle is a member of the Crown Court department and has many years of experience preparing cases including serious assault, supply of drugs and rape.
