Joanne Barlow
Head of Department and Partner

Joanne is the partner in charge of our property department. She began her career at CMA in 1992 as a trainee solicitor and after qualifying in 1994, she focused on property work. In 1995, Joanne soon found herself operating in a very busy residential conveyancing department with good support staff. In 1999, Joanne became a partner which coincided with her beginning to focus on commercial property work.

Since then, Joanne has gained her experience in most types of property work. She has worked with developers on newly built housing schemes and acts on behalf of owners of land and buildings (both commercial & residential) on other property related issues. She also deals with landlord and tenant matters in both multi-let buildings and smaller properties.

Although her focus is now on commercial property and business, as head of the department, she continues to oversee the residential conveyancing team.
